Meet the Team

My passion for Bavarian classics is profound. But all classics are charming. My fantasies range from Imps over quirky Panhards to my dream Montreal. But then there’s also my nerdtastic lust for classics from the Country of the Rising Sun… I appreciate originality, but most importantly, regardless of origin, year or value, classics are meant to be driven. My keeper is a 1973 BMW 2002 - the first car I ever bought.
Enthusiasm in preparation is as vital as racing and rallying. As a certified “anorak” I like to unbolt, analyse and rebuild. A classic car of any vintage should be impeccably prepared. Credibility comes from oily fingers and overalls. Quirky tuning is everything. As a Sixties fan (Lotus, MG, BMW...) I’m a strong believer that cars are intended for long races, rallies and trips, not for urban chores. Vintage push bikes are faster.
Broad taste in cars. Prefer them working, though. Coupés, estates, racing cars – and so on. Origin less important, but I love Italy. And Britain. Germany. And so on. I strongly believe everything was better in the old days. Except the internet of course. My keeper is a 1978 Reliant Scimitar GTE. As a true Scandinavian of course I also own a Volvo – a 445 of 1956 vintage.
Old is good, fast is great, loud is better. There are far too few days left for opposite locking to be squandering time in front wheel drive cars. A believer in appreciating and preserving our endangered motoring heritage and why the people and places shouldn’t be forgotten either. My keeper is a BMW 2002, but all elderly BMWs are welcome at this sanctuary.
I’ve been a carnut since before I could walk and have always preferred to drive. My taste in classic cars is broad, but I prefer cars which at least display some degree of 'edge' - either in the design or choice of mechanical solutions. It’s even better if it comes with a good story too... My keeper is an air-cooled Porsche 911 G-model.
I've loved cars ever since growing up through the 1960s and 70s, with German and Italian cars of that era my absolute favourites. Not one to get my hands dirty, preferring to pay experts to do the work. But while my love of classics is based primarily on their looks, it’s nevertheless a deep love. My current classics are a yellow 1975 BMW 2002tiiLux known as 'die Zitrone', a red '82 Mercedes-Benz 280CE, and I have finally fulfilled a dream of owning an early Porsche 911, a 1972 911T - my classics world is complete.
Strong interest in all kinds of cars up to the early ’80s, but with a particular fondness for pre-war cars, Americana and Attlee-to-Macmillan-era ‘dad cars’. I am fanatical in my belief that old cars were made to be driven and new cars need to be stamped out. A 1962 Hillman Super Minx fulfils my daily driver needs while my 1955 Ford Anglia is just giving me a headache.
